First let me tell you about my morning. I had a lumbar puncture.

I had one before when I had spinal meningitis but I didn’t remember it because I was extra medicated. I THOUGHT that I remembered it though. They told me ahead of time but I didn’t remember being strapped down. Face down strapped down. That was more intense than I was expecting. Incredibly happy it’s over with! My emoji right now would be wide eyes and a big smile with a big ‘whew’.
They were able to drain the pocket of spinal fluid.
I’ll find out Tuesday if I’ll have another surgery and be one step closer to getting back to normal. My normal. Which isn’t ‘normal’. But it’s my favorite version of me.
