Eventual Coder

I’m writing this post in the library. Here to code. I was concerned about a career in coding with the vision changes that came along with the tumor removal but am more concerned about me not living my dream. I don’t have to be in a hurry to become a coder. As much as I want to be that already. Thanks to muscle memory, the vision loss doesn’t seem to be too much of a hindrance, at least at the keyboard. Once my hands are in the right place I’m good to go. A problem is when I pick up my hands I experience a sensation of being momentarily lost. Another problem is when I have to look away from the screen. It takes way too long to readjust my vision. Maybe with practice that will improve. I still have dizziness but the Papilledema has gone away.

A podcast I listen to,  7 Good Minutes – https://7goodminutes.com/ spoke to me this morning. The episode referenced the story of a man who took the California State Bar Exam over and over and finally passed after 48 tries. He was 60 years old! I’m not even 55 lol. I’m inspired. And enthusiastic.

As far as the physical limitations go, they remain. I’m sorry to the dozens of people I’ve bumped into in stores. Except for one lady who was a super bitch a few months back. I firmly withhold my apology in your situ.
